Wikidot joins dozens of other wiki, blogging and content-creation platforms in the effort of making content-editing a more straightforward experience. Starting today, Wikidot sites now support Universal Edit Button. UEB is a green pencil icon
in the address bar that indicates that a web page is editable. It is similar to the orange "broadcast" RSS icon that indicates there is an RSS feed available.
Here is an example screenshot of how the UEB icon is displayed on a Wikidot page:

Moreover, once you click the button, the page will switch to the "edit mode" instantly. Great, isn't it?
To see the icon, you will need to install the UEB Firefox extension, which will work out-of-the-box with Wikidot, Wikipedia, Wikihow and literally hundreds (or thousands?) of other websites. At the moment only Firefox is supported, but as far as I can see this is the most popular browser among Wikidotters.
HINT: if you want to start editing really quickly, you can do it by hitting CTRL+E, and save the page with CTRL+S. This works on any browser.
