This is a security concern, for those that don't want their site to be cloned [i.e. me, I don't want my non-template sites to be cloned ;-) ]. They can't even restrict who is allowed to do it, as it was previously, by only giving admin rights to those they trusted.
Would you consider changing this so that the site in question needs to enable this via Site Manger, before the site can be cloned using the module?

This question is a good one. My view is this is fairly brutal: public sites are clonable by hand, this automates the process. If they are CC licensed, that explicitly gives others the right to use. In theory, all sites based on our CC-licensed work must be shareable since they are derived works.
So, currently the only way to prevent a site being copied is to make it private. Cloning a site of course may result in copyright infringement but that is between the copyright owner and the new user, and applies to hand-copying just the same.
However, that's my view and it comes from fifteen-odd years of doing open source and treating reuse of my work as vital to its longevity.
Maybe the option to prevent cloning should be a paid one, since it does directly restrict the community value of the site.
Well, I was on a paid Pro Lite account before being gifted this Plus account, and I'd willingly continue to pay for a Lite account (when this expires) just for that feature ;)
