API Methods V2 (draft) / Discussion

Only thing that is missing from here is a save/upload method for files (that would be extremely useful).

Other than that, the new methods are great. I like the new search options, and more powerful things that can be done with tags :)

Maybe mention what programming language you use in the code blocks

the code blocks only represent one way of using the methode… (is it phyton) So for not-phyton programmers this is a bit confusing. So I would mention that this is just ONE of the possible ways to interact with the API.

I get an error when I try to set Tags. I use php, what could be the problem?
With the previous version of API there wasno problem. Now I use the pages.save_one, and I get this error.
I did some searching on the web, found that the problem could be caused at wikidot, but am not sure.

Any body any hints?

Adding a tag

Since this whole API takes a lot of time to perform. How can I add a tag without overwriting possibly existing tags?
Do I first need to get all tags, then add my new tag and then save again all tags?

I would suggest a methode tags.save_one
argument keys:
* site: site to save page to
* page: page full name to save
* tags (optional): array of tags to set
returns true/false if action is performed

We should probably post this kind of thing over at developer.wikidot.com - so that if it needs to be found again there's only one site to search.

But yes, currently the only way to add (or remove) tags is to firstly get a list of tags on that page, then re-save the page. A two-step process.
