The offset option confuses me… why would someone want to start from a particular point onwards? Wouldn't limit cater for that? :S

I used it once: the first feed was always the site's same, self-promoting advert. So offset got rid of that.
Are there any plans to make a version of this that works with more general XML formats? I want to embed API results from sites such as Twitter and Collecta.

Sure. In lieu of reposting the XML returned (and I see that some of these can return RSS feeds), I'll link to particular pages in the Twitter API wiki. I'm linking only to API features that do not require authentication.

Sorry, haven't had a chance to look at this yet, but it is on my to-do list.
I assumed that there would be some way (even with use of an external tool) to get this working without having to wait for Wikidot to implement something like this, but as no-one else has replied to this I assume I was wrong about that.

I noticed that you tried using a CSI. CSIs are disabled for forum comments, which is what you just tried using it in… they only work in pages. It's a limitation that I don't like, but there is no way around that.
To add a signature to all of your forum posts (note that it will apply to every site you post on, and there is no way of disabling it on a per-post basis), follow these steps:

There is an odd bug regarding the RSS feed API. I can't use the content of %%custom author/uri%% as the destination in a link. An example is here.
