Thanks e1n!
I've been toying around a bit more with this module, and tried to implement it in the live templates:
[[module SimpleToDo id="%%content{2}%%"]]
Goal is to automatically have a separate todo-list for each page made under a certain category. But SimpleToDo seems to interpret the id only as a string. It would be very useful if this module could interpret the string also like a variable as defined by the template. Alternatively, an automated ID defined by the namespace would also be great.
This is really nice :-)
I would like a separate call (module SimpleToDo id="x" list="done") to show items that've been ticked off.
"list" attribute could take values todo (default), done, all.
This is a nice feature. I would like to be able to add some free text in addition to the title.
Bugs
This module is not yet 100% stable but should work fine. There might be some issues with Safari, but with Firefox it works perfectly.
I use this module all the time. I don't generally use Safari, but here's my first experience with both at the same time.

The "echo" clears after I refresh the browser. But clicking again on the "SimpleToDo" item (the user's natural instinct) just compounds the issue.
@scottplan: I can also confirm that this is a major problem in Google Chrome.
