[[module MembershipApply]]
I'm usings a custom domain ( eg www.XYZ.com ) for users to access my wikidot site ( say XYZ.wikidot.com )
I'd like to keep users on the XYZ.com domain, rather than XYZ.wikidot.com.
In general this is working fine.
However, on my 'join' page, I have [[module MembershipApply]],
and when a user tries to join they get redirected to wikidot.com
Is there anyway I can keep them on XYZ.com?
Also at the end of the long application process, a user is asked to submit an 'application text'. I wonder can that be turned off?
How can we make the application process easier?
The more difficult it is, the more users will give-up before completing the process.
Is there a way to turn off the application process? For instance, I would like anyone to be able to become members of my site automatically without me needing to approve them. If they turn out to be a problem, they can be kicked off. Is this possible?
Is there a way to simply get an email sent to me every time there is a member application for my site? I do not have time to monitor this every day.
And do they have to become wikidot members first - no way to get round that other than the 'secret password', which does not seem a good solution.
Many thanks
I agree with the above post. We need to have the choice of being emailed when someone applies to join our Wiki.
