OpenAMQ
AMQP is a new wire-level protocol for messaging. It makes it easy to get applications or pieces of applications to talk together across a LAN. Applications send messages to exchanges, which route them into queues, which deliver them to other applications.
What is important for us is that OpenAMQ is a project that uses Wikidot for extensive collaboration, hosting project documentation, tracking bugs and issues related to the product and discussion. The Wiki uses templates, interactive modules and advanced content manipulation.
Stop Software Patents
"Software patents are hindering innovation. Patents should be granted when there is real innovation and real investment in innovation." — Niklas Zennström, CEO, Skype, Silicon.com
There is no correlation between those who develop new software techniques, and those who claim patents. Patents do not need proof, or research. They need lawyers, and money. The modern patent business does not make products at all. It just claims patents on anything it thinks may be profitable, then aims to collect license fees from people who use those ideas.
Frets On Fire
You know what is The Guitar Hero, do you? Do you understand the phenomenon of The Guitar Hero / Frets On Fire? You don't?!? We either didn't know until last night, when we — Squark and Gabrys, were playing Frets on Fire till 4 a.m. Now, when we were late to Wikidot, we UNDERSTAND… Do you know Frets On Fire? This is a FREE analogue, truly amazing, moreover open source and multi-platform. In our opinion better, because it's created and maintained by The Community. (CAUTION: Playing Frets On Fire can cause serious damage to your fingers and wrists and can crush your keyboard into a dust! :D)
