Benjamin Miller, a PhD candidate at the CUNY Graduate Center, has been a teaching fellow at Hunter College since the fall of 2008. In addition to teaching composition there, he has since 2004 taught composition and creative writing to high school students and freshmen at Columbia University.
Ben’s academic interests include the pedagogy of poetry and constraint-based writing, especially as they might apply to non-fiction prose composition and revision; instructional technology; the rhetoric of marginal comments; writing about writing; teaching writing about writing; writing about teaching writing about writing; self-consuming lists and metacognitive games; and academic interests.
He does not especially enjoy writing about himself in the third person, but will step up when duty calls.
