My name is Heather Corcoran. I am the team leader at Mt. Tech in Butte. This is my second year in this position and I'm eager to get things going with a new team. For the second year, my site is at the Legion Oasis tutoring. The Legion Oasis is a low income facility. So far I have 6 members and each of them have their own sites which include TRIO, NROC, CFWEP, Accadia and RYO. The whole teams will be going out to RYO every other Saturday to teach the incarcerated youth life skills. Accadia will be about the same as well.
I have been keeping busy trying to get things in order. Not only do I have a new team, but a new supervisor as well. She has been very helpful with her being an AmeriCorps alumn. Hopefully with her new spunk we'll get things done!
