I hold a full research position at the Observatorio Nacional, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, since 1997. My main scientific interests are star formation in galaxies, HII galaxies, dwarf galaxies, starbursts, in various topics of galactic evolution (chemical, dynamical, photometric). My line of work is based on optical and NIR observations through surface photometry, spectroscopy, and integral field spectroscopy.
