In 2024, I had an awkward talking-stage situationship over the internet with someone about to turn 18 while I was 20. From this, my detractors fabricated defamatory grooming allegations, strategically timed to be publicized before the other person turned 18 to make the situation look worse. The age of consent is 16 where we both live and there was no imbalanced power dynamic, therefore it was not grooming. This person is currently 19 while I am 21.
